For underwriters

See every red flag before pricing.

RowInsight writes the brief you'd have written by hand: severity per row, a citation on every flag, no invented numbers. You spend less time verifying and more time pricing the risks worth pricing.

Underwriter brief
Concern

Trading 12 years, two material headwinds.

The risk is an established trader (CH active, 12 yrs) with three outstanding charges, typical for the sector but worth confirming with the broker. Flood is rivers/sea Z2 with medium surface water; load expected at peril review.

Material adverse media: an FCA fine of £237k against the former CEO in 2024. Confirm exit and that current officers are clean before binding. EPC D is within MEES today; track for 2027.

The severity ladder

Four rungs. Calibrated against your appetite.

Every flag earns a level. Levels roll up to a row, rows roll up to the schedule. Sort by severity, filter to Concern+, and the file triages itself.

Info
Background context. Worth knowing on the file but doesn't change the rate.

Example · Companies House: incorporated 2018 · accounts category 'micro' · 4 active officers.

Watch
Track it. Doesn't decline the risk; does belong in the brief.

Example · EPC band D · 78.4 kgCO₂/m². Within MEES today, trending toward sub-E by 2027.

Concern
Surface to the lead UW. Likely a load, exclusion, or referral.

Example · HSE Prohibition Notice (02/06/2024), open at last filing. Cite source row.

Block
Decline-territory. Sanctions, disqualification, or active winding-up. Don't price.

Example · OFSI hit: PSC John Doe matched UK sanctions list (Russia regime, 2023). Score 0.94.

What lands in your queue

A pre-diligenced file, not a half-finished schedule.

Every flag carries its source

If a property pings flood Zone 3 or an open HSE Prohibition notice, the brief links directly to the source row. You can verify the claim without a junior or an email chain.

Severity is data-driven, not vibe-driven

The Brief uses an explicit UW rulebook (sanctions = block, accounts overdue = concern, BGS shrink/swell D = watch). The grounding rules are published. Review them and push back; we'll tune.
